Sensex down 103pts; Reliance Infra drops 5%

The NSE Nifty is down 26 points at 4,713.

Reliance Infrastructure has plunged over 5% to Rs 1,111. Bharti Airtel has tumbled 4.7% to Rs 837.

Satyam has lost 4.6% at Rs 495. Jaiprakash Associates has slipped 3.9% to Rs 204.

HDFC has declined 3.6% to Rs 2,440, while HDFC Bank and BHEL have dropped 3% each at Rs 1,267 and Rs 1,547, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro is down 2.4% at Rs 2,845. TCS has shed 2.3% to Rs 962. Infosys has slipped 2.2% to Rs 1,907.

NTPC has lost 1.9% to Rs 158. Grasim, Tata Steel and Reliance Communications are down around 1% each to Rs 2,187, Rs 860 and Rs 550, respectively.

 

On the other side, ACC has gained 2.9% to Rs 644. Reliace has advanced 2.3% to Rs 2,410.

DLF has moved up 2.2% at Rs 580, and Hindalco has added 1.5% to Rs 185.

Tata Motors and Ranbaxy are up 1% each to Rs 569 and Rs 519, respectively.

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,651 stocks traded so far, 1,968 have declined, 624 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
