Sensex down 291pts; RCL plunges 6%

The Sensex is now down 291 points at 10,062.

Reliance Communications (RCL) has plunged 6% to Rs 234. Grasim has slumped 5.5% to Rs 1,866. Wipro has slipped over 5% to Rs 446.

Hindalco has shed 4.5% to Rs 157. Gujarat Ambuja and NTPC are down 4% each at Rs 99 and Rs 109, respectively.

Maruti, Infosys and ITC have declined over 3.5% each to Rs 709, Rs 1,586 and Rs 169, respectively.

Out of 2,297 stocks traded so far, 1,830 have declined, 402 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
