Sensex down 78pts; Cipla, L&T major losers

| The Sensex touched a of 10,091, and is now down 78 points at 10,095. HLL holds firm its gains and is now up 7.4% at Rs 225. Bajaj Auto has eased from the day's high of Rs 2,355, and is now up nearly 4% at Rs 2,307. Bharti Tele has spurted 1.6% to Rs 369. Cipla continues to witness profit taking following the recent upsurge. The stock has now declined 4.5% to Rs 540. Larsen & Toubro has dropped 3.7% to Rs 2,406. Tata Power has shed 2.8% to Rs 496, and Tata Motors has slipped 2.5% to Rs 772. Satyam (Rs 740), Tata Steel (Rs 384) and Wipro (Rs 495) have declined over 2% each. TCS, ICICI Bank, Hindalco, SBI, Ranbaxy, Dr.Reddy's, ACC, Infosys and NTPC are also langushing in the negative zones. The market breadth is now slightly negative. Out of 2,555 stocks traded so far, 1,309 have declined, 1,180 have advanced and 66 are unchanged. |
