Sensex gains 90pts in early trade

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 32 points at 11,652. The index touched a high of 11,710, and is now up 90 points at the same level.

Bajaj Auto, HDFC Bank and Cipla have advanced over 1% each to Rs 2,759, Rs 857 and Rs 247, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, Infosys, Tata Steel, BHEL, Maruti, Hero Honda and Satyam are the other notable gainers.
