Sensex pares gains, now up 35pts

The Sensex pared most of its gains as it touched a low of 10,102. The index is now up 35 points at 10,122.

Bajaj Auto has rallied 4.3% to Rs 2,400. NTPC has surged 3.8% to Rs 123, and HLL has gained 3.4% at Rs 232.

Infosys has slipped 1.5% to Rs 2,782. Reliance, Dr.Reddy's and HDFC have declined 1% each to Rs 707, Rs 1,156 and Rs 1,357, respectively.

Jagat Industries has soared over 12% to Rs 84. 3M India, Amar Remedies, Moving Pictures, Colgate, National Aluminium, Gillette India, MTNL, Orchid Chemicals, Godrej Consumers and Hindustan Zinc are the other major gainers.

Moschip and Radha Madhav have slumped over 7% each to Rs 47 and Rs 50, respectively. Radico Khaitan, Aksh Optifibre, Swaraj Mazda, HCL Technologies, Novartis, Tata Tea, Essel Propack, Hexaware, United Phosphorous, Ramco System, Lupin, Titan and BEML are on slippery ground.
