Sensex range-bound; breadth fairly +ve

The Sensex is trapped in a narrow range of 109 points, and is now up 25 points at 9,348. The index after opening 58 points higher at 9,382, soon slipped into red and touched a low of 9,273, this morning.
Sterlite has soared 5.5% to Rs 275, and Jaiprakash Associates has surged 3.6% to Rs 69.
Hindalco has moved up nearly 3% to Rs 51. Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications have gained 2% each at Rs 208, Rs 645 and Rs 186, respectively.
Larsen & Toubro has moved up 1.7% to Rs 730. Reliance and ACC have added 1.5% each to Rs 1,236 and Rs 508, respectively.
ONGC, ITC and Reliance Infrastructure are up around 1% each to Rs 657, Rs 174 and Rs 546, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has tumbled 3.3% to Rs 314.
TCS and Tata Motors have shed over 2% each at Rs 492 and Rs 150, respectively.
Infosys, ICICI Bank and DLF have dropped 1.7% each to Rs 1,247, Rs 417 and Rs 192, respectively.
HDFC, Wipro and SBI have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 1,540, Rs 234 and Rs 1,149, respectively.
The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,017 stocks traded so far, 1,134 have advanced, 786 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
