Sensex recovers, up 68pts

The Sensex has recovered and is now 68 points higher at 13,956.

The Sensex slipped into the negative zone again and is now trading flat at 13,887.

Ranbaxy has surged over 22% to Rs 270. DLF has added 5.5% at Rs 352. Jaiprakash Associates and Sterlite are up over 4% each at Rs 181 and Rs 527, respectively.

Tata Power and ITC have gained over 2.5% each at Rs 1,077 and Rs 188, respectively.

Bharti Airtel on the other hand has slipped 7% to Rs 798.

NTPC and HDFC are down 1% each.

The market breadth is positive, Out of 2,743 shares traded, 2,355 have advanced and only 355 have declined.
