Sensex tumbles 184pts; ACC plunges 6%

The Sensex has tumbled 184 points at 14,004.

ACC has plunged 6% to Rs 948. Gujarat Ambuja, Ranbaxy and Grasim have shed around 4.5% each to Rs 125, Rs 366 and Rs 2,440, respectively.

Hero Honda and Tata Motors have tumbled nearly 3% each to Rs 718 and Rs 834, respectively.

Reliance Communciations is up over 1% at Rs 452.

Out of 2,669 stocks traded so far, 1,748 have declined, 852 have advanced and 69 are unchanged.
