Sensex up 101pts; market breadth extremely +ve

The Sensex is now up 101 points at 10,977.

Ranbaxy has surged 4% to Rs 393.

Infosys and Larsen & Toubro have added 1.5% each to Rs 1,692 and Rs 2,306, respectively.

HLL, Reliance Energy and ICICI Bank have advanced 1.3% each to Rs 231, Rs 464 and Rs 555, respectively.

Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel, BHEL and ONGC are up 1% each at Rs 2,572, Rs 517, Rs 2,177 and Rs 1,205, respectively.

The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 1,516 stocks traded, 1,151 have advanced, 327 have declined and 38 are unchanged.
