Sensex up 124pts; breadth very +ve

The Sensex is now up 124 points at 14,391.

Gujarat Ambuja has surged 2.3% to Rs 143. Reliance Communications has rallied 2% to Rs 483.

Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel and Satyam have moved up 1.8% each to Rs 466, Rs 745 and Rs 483, respectively. Wipro and HDFC have added 1.7% each to Rs 633 and Rs 1,700, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, Hindalco, HDFC Bank, ACC, Reliance Energy, Reliance, HLL and ITC are the other prominent gainers.

The market breadth is very positive - out of 2,291 stocks traded so far, 1,609 have moved up, 621 have slipped and the rest are unchanged.
