Sensex up 216pts; DLF, REL, Tata Motors in red

The Sensex is now up 216 points at 13,076.

Satyam has zoomed 8% to Rs 321, and Jaiprakash Associates has soared 7% to Rs 119.

HDFC Bank has surged 5% to Rs 1,290, and Tata Power has rallied nearly 4% to Rs 941.

SBI, Grasim and Reliance Communications have gained around 3.5% each at Rs 1,519, Rs 1,748 and Rs 346, respectively.

ICICI Bank, Tata Steel and Infosys have advanced around 3% each to Rs 552, Rs 439 and Rs 1,439, respectively.

HDFC has moved up 2.8% to Rs 2,201.

Tata Motors, DLF and Reliance Energy have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 339, Rs 347 and Rs 1,915, respectively.

 

Out of 2,609 stocks traded so far, 1,454 have advanced, 1,089 have declined and 66 are unchanged.
