Sensex up 24pts; Grasim sheds 2%

The Sensex is now up 24 points at 14,212.

Reliance Communications has surged 1.7% to Rs 454. Satyam, Tata Steel, Reliance and TCS have advanced over 1% each to Rs 467, Rs 460, Rs 1,421 and Rs 1,299, respectively.

Grasim has shed nearly 2% to Rs 2,500. SBI, HDFC Bank and Ranbaxy have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 1,089, Rs 999 and Rs 377, respectively.

Hero Honda is down over 1% to Rs 731.

Out of 2,539 stocks traded so far, 1,395 have declined, 1,076 have advanced and 68 are unchanged.
