Sensex up 26pts; Tata Steel spurts 2%

The Sensex touched a high of 12,428, a low of 12,381, and is now up 26 points at 12,407.

Tata Steel has gained 1.7% at Rs 528. TCS, Ranbaxy and Gujarat Ambuja are the other smart gainers.

HDFC has slipped 1.2% to Rs 1,482. Hero Honda and ICICI Bank are the other notable losers.
