Sensex up 47pts in early trades

The Sensex once again opened with a positive gap at 10,169 - up 45 points from its previous close. The index rallied to a high of 10,184, and is now up 47 points at 10,171.

Wipro has rallied 1.5% to Rs 497. Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto, Satyam, Tata Power, Hero Honda, Larsen & Toubro, ICICI Bank and Reliance are the other smart gainers among the Sensex stocks.

Dr.Reddy's slipped over 1% to Rs 1,267. HLL, too, is down 1% at Rs 236.
