Sensex up 86pts; Bharti, Rel Comm lead

The Sensex is now up 86 points at 14,490.

Reliance Communications has soared 3.5% to Rs 508, and Bharti Airtel has surged 2.7% to Rs 792.

HDFC has advanced 2.7% to Rs 1,790. Bajaj Auto, Reliance Energy, SBI and Maruti have moved up around 1.5% each to Rs 2,824, Rs 542, Rs 1,198 and Rs 958, respectively.

Hindalco has shed 2.5% to Rs 178. Wipro has slipped 1.3% to Rs 635.

Out of 2,585 stocks traded so far, 1,583 have advanced, 934 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
