Sensex up 87pts; ACC, Jaiprakash gain 2%

The Sensex touched a high of 14,663, and is now up 87 points at 14,585.

SBI has surged 2.3% to Rs 1,450. ACC and Jaiprakash Associates have gained 2% each at Rs 575 and Rs 166, respectively.

ONGC, Tata Power and Larsen & Toubro have moved up 1.8% each to Rs 1,049, Rs 1,058 and Rs 2,608, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure has advanced 1.5% to Rs 997. HDFC and ICICI Bank are up 1.3% each to Rs 2,367 and Rs 673, respectively.

Ranbaxy, however, has plunged 6.5% to Rs 467.
