Sensex up 94pts; breadth turns -ve

| The Sensex is now up 94 points at 14,185. Gujarat Ambuja, Tata Motors and Reliance Energy have rallied nearly 2.5% each to Rs 141, Rs 899 and Rs 526, respectively. ACC has added 2.3% to Rs 1,044. Bharti Airtel has spurted over 2% to Rs 723. Wipro has moved up 1.7% to Rs 623. ONGC, Reliance Communications and NTPC are up over 1% each to Rs 914, Rs 466 and Rs 143, respectively. Tata Steel has shed 2.4% to Rs 453. HLL is down 1% at Rs 206. The market breadth has turned negative - out of 2,623 stocks traded so far, 1,274 have advanced, 1,282 have declined and the rest are unchanged. |
