Sensex up 99pts; REL gains 3%

The Sensex is now up 99 points at 14,502.

Reliance Communications has soared 5.5% to Rs 517, and Bharti Airtel has surged 2% to Rs 786.

HDFC has advanced 3.5% to Rs 1,805. Reliance Energy has flared up 3% to Rs 550.

Hero Honda has gained 2.4% at Rs 733. Maruti and Bajaj Auto have moved up around 1.5% each to Rs 960 and Rs 2,823, respectively.

Hindalco has shed 2.7% to Rs 178. HDFC Bank has slipped 1.7% to Rs 1,087, and Wipro is down 1.3% at Rs 635.

Out of 2,693 stocks traded so far, 1,551 have advanced, 1,066 have declined and 76 are unchanged.
