| Steady rise in Smart Portfolios |

In a week marked by the Economic Survey and the Railway Budget, and amidst high volatility, the BSE 200 index gained a per cent. The benchmark portfolio has now appreciated over 2 per cent to Rs 10.21 lakh from its initial corpus of Rs 10 lakh at the start of Smart Portfolios on September 1, 2008.
Amar Ambani and Anand Agarwal were the most active fund managers with 21 trades each out of a total of 49 trades executed last week. Cumulatively, while they bought shares worth around Rs 43,700, Anand Agarwal was the lone manager whose purchase value exceeded those of his sales. Ambani was a net seller of stocks worth Rs 41,758. The figures for Pujara and Shetty were Rs 79,060 and Rs 6,350.
At the end of week, Pujara's net worth has appreciated by 24.4 per cent to Rs 12.44 lakh, Ambani's portfolio has expanded by 41.7 per cent to Rs 14.17 lakh, Shetty's kitty has risen by 31.6 per cent to Rs 15.24 lakh while Agarwal's stocks have soared over 52 per cent to Rs 15.24 lakh.
