Sugar ends steady on higher free sale quota

Wholesale sugar prices remained quiet in the national capital today following ample stocks amid sluggish demand.

Market analysts said availability of adequate stocks to meet the ongoing marriage season demand mainly kept the prices unaltered.  

Market had ample stock position as government released free sale quota of 1.68 million tonnes for the month of month.

Sugar ready M-30 2,940-3,065, and S-30 2,915-2,940
Mill delivery M-30 2,700-2,850, and S-30 2,685-2,825
