Sugar remains flat in thin trade

Steady conditions prevailed on the wholesale sugar market today as prices moved in a narrow range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.  

Market analysts said adequate stocks position against restricted buying activity mainly kept sugar prices steady.

Following were today's quotation in Rs per quintal:

Sugar ready M-30 2,970-3,100 and S-30 2,950-3,080
Mill delivery M-30 2,740-2,900 and S-30 2,725-2,865

Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Kinonni 2,880, Asmoli 2,870, Mawana 2,840, Titabi 2,825, Thanabhavan 2,790, Budhana 2780 and Dorala 2,830
