12 killed in Assam road accident

A collision between a van and a truck on National Highway 37 on Sunday resulted in the death of 12 passengers, with a further three people injured in the Golaghat district of Assam.

According to reports, the passengers of the van were returning home after attending a nearby religious function.

Meanwhile, those injured have reportedly been admitted to the Jorhat Medical College Hospital, where their condition is stated to be critical.
