Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has reportedly expressed his willingness to build a "real and honest friendship" with Pakistan during his upcoming visit to Islamabad.
According to Dawn, Ghani's spokesman was quoted as saying in a dispatch published in the Wall Street Journal that the Afghan leader would visit Pakistan this week for an official meeting with Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Nazifullah Salarzai said that Afghanistan wanted to build a real friendship with its neighbouring country.
The spokesman further added that the scheduled meeting between the two leaders would focus on improving economic ties and security cooperation between the two countries, the report said.
