In wake of the increasing violation of rules by its staff, Air India on Wednesday decided to take blood samples of the pilots along with prevalent breath analyser to assess the accurate intake of alcohol.
Air Indian has also decided to initiate tough action against the pilots failing the liquor tests.
Earlier on Tuesday, an Air India pilot's licence was suspended for three years after he failed the pre-flight breath analyser test.
