American, Israeli companies selling high-tech surveillance devices to most repressive govts

A British watchdog group has said that American and Israeli companies are selling top surveillance technology and devices to some of the world's most repressive governments.

According to the Washington Times, these countries use the high technology to spy on its own citizens, revealed the United Press International (UPI) report.

The nations that have bought the technology are Kasakhstan, Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries with questionable human rights practices, and known civil rights violations, said the UPI report.

Nice Systems in Israel, Verint Systems in New York and Netronome in California were aomg the companies that were cited as sellers.

Nice authorities said they do business only with lawful nations and those under Israeli rules, according to UPI.
