The American daytime TV drama 'The Bold and the Beautiful' is all set to turn into a novel, as an Australian publisher has acquired the global rights to bring the lives and loves of the serial's characters from the small screen to the page.

Two novellas will be published in February by Pan Macmillan and its digital first imprint Momentum, while another two will follow in April, and two more in June, Sydney Morning Herald reported.

According to Momentum's publisher Joel Naoum, it could be the first time a television soap opera has made the transition to a dedicated romance series.

The new love stories, featuring the soap opera's signature characters, are being written by romance writers Amy Andrews, from Brisbane, and Shannon Curtis, of Sydney.
