Amit Shah takes charge as new BJP president

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's close aide and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary Amit Shah on Wednesday took charge as the party's new president.

Showing his confidence on Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh said, "He has all the capabilities and management skills required for the strengthening of organization."

Minister for Water Resources, Uma Bharti felicitated Shah, after he took charge.

Ashwath Narayan also congratulated Shah by saying that his experience will bring lots of benefit to the party.
