Anti-Muslim Brotherhood petition garners 1,24,000 online signatures

An anti-Muslim Brotherhood petition demanding the US administration to declare it as a terrorist group has garnered huge online support.

According to the Washington Times, the petition called 'We the People' created on July 7 has gathered nearly 1,24,000 signatures.

The petition states that the Muslim Brotherhood has a long history of violent killings and terrorizing opponents and also has direct ties with most terrorist groups like Hamas.

It further states that in the past few days the group has shown that it is willing to engage in violence and killing of innocent civilians in order to invoke fear in the hearts of its opponents which equates to terrorism.

 

The report added that in order to receive a public response from the White House, a petition must gather 150 signatures within 30 days from the date the petition was created and then must gather 1,00,000 signatures within the next 30 days.
