Apple has reportedly tied up with new partners for boosting the production of its latest iPhones and iPads.

Sources have revealed that the tech giant has tapped Wistron, a contract manufacturer in Taiwan, to bolster iPhone production capacity to meet the increasing demand ahead of the holiday season.

According to AllThingsD, Wistron will begin manufacturing devices for Apple sometime this month or next, joining existing iPhone production partners Foxconn and Pegatron.

Wistron is known to have built smartphones for the likes of BlackBerry, ZTE and Nokia.

The tech giant is also said to have chosen Compal Communications, also based in Taiwan, to produce additional iPad minis in 2014, the report added.
