Disgraced former US cyclist Lance Armstrong shamed himself all over again as he hit two parked cars after partying in Aspen and let his girlfriend take the blame for it, according to police.
The Aspen police department revealed that Armstrong's SUV was identified in the December 29th incident and upon questioning, the former cyclist's girlfriend Anna Hansen initially told cops that she was the driver that night.
Hansen also revealed to the investigator that she and Armstrong had been driving home from an Aspen Museum Party at the St. Regis Aspen Resort and she didn't want the disgraced cyclist to drive because he had been drinking, TMZ reported.
The police revealed that Hansen told cops that she lost control of the SUV and struck two parked cars, adding that she then returned to the scene on foot moments later and told the owner of the vehicles that she'd pay for the damage.
However, the investigator didn't buy Anna's story and contacted the valet company that worked the party that night, and the valet revealed that he specifically remembered helping Hansen into the passenger seat after the party and claimed that Armstrong was the driver.
When the investigator confronted Hansen with the new info, she became upset and finally admitted that Armstrong was driving that night, but now she insists that the American was not drinking at the time.
Hansen claimed that Armstrong was not intoxicated, and said that she was sorry for lying to the police that morning but added that she was just trying to make something up at that time.
Armstrong, who was stripped of his record seven Tour de France titles after admitting that he used performance-enhancing drugs to win them all from 1999 to 2005, has reportedly been hit with two citations and is due in court on March 17th.
