Bangladesh cancels 35 fake freedom fighter certificates

Bangladesh has reportedly cancelled at least 35 government officials' fake freedom fighter certificates.

According to The Daily Star, the country's Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has cancelled fake freedom fighters' certificates of 35 government officials and employees including a deputy secretary.

The ministry also issued a gazette notification in this regard on Monday, the report said.

Certificates of at least 30 out of the 35 government staff were reportedly cancelled following reports from National Security Intelligence.
