The Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) first National Council meet after forming the government at the Centre is scheduled to start at 10.30 am in the capital today. The meet is being held to discuss party organization issues.
Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told ANI, "The National Council is definitely very important. And after a fantastic victory, the workers are enthusiastic. They are joining this meeting with the belief that the party and government will overcome all the challenges ahead of it."
Naqvi also informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah will address the meet.
BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri also said that it was the good fortune of Delhi that the National Council meet is being held here after winning the elections.
This is the first National Council meeting of the party after it formed the government at the Centre post its victory in the Lok Sabha elections.
