Chhattisgarh: Two police personnel injured in IED blast

Two police personnel were injured in improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Bijapur's Gangaloor area on Wednesday.

According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) P Sunderraj, inspector Manoj Singh and one assistant constable Gullu Berja got injured in an IED blast near Savnar and Palnar jungles of Gangaloor area in Bijapur. They sustained minor leg injuries and are out of danger.

The personnel came under attack when a joint operation was being carried against naxalites by District Reserve Guards and Special Task Force. Manoj Singh, SHO of Gangaloor Police Station was leading one party.
