Australian captain Michael Clarke has said that he is still confident of having success in the Ashes even though Australia's hopes were washed away by the rain-affected third Test final leaving them to cling to hopes of a drawn series and nothing more.

According to the Mirror, England captain Alastair Cook hailed his Ashes-retaining heroes at a soggy Old Trafford, guaranteed them the spoils at 2-0 up with two matches left to play.

However, Clarke said that even though he and his men are disappointed at not getting over the line, he is confident of having success if his team played with the same attitude like they did at Old Trafford.

According to Clarke, he did not want to open his curtains in the morning, as he knew that it was raining, although he added that if they can level the series, they could take back a lot of confidence to Australia.

But Clarke admitted that England had outplayed them in the first two Tests.
