After England's comprehensive loss in the just concluded Barbados Test, coach Peter Moores has said he needs more time to turn the fortunes of his struggling side.

Moores had made a fervent request to be given enough time to develop the resurgent England team into 'world beaters', the Mirror reported.

However, the team's dismal performance at the World Cup followed by the recent loss in West Indies had put across serious questions over his plea.

England's problem of not handling the pressure was exposed in the recent series when they surrendered against the 'raw' West Indies.

With the Ashes coming right away this summer, it would be interesting to see whether Moores would be the right man to help England players deal with the pressure.

He said that impatience was bound to be there within the fans, but added that if the teams emerged overnight then it would be very easy.

Moore added that the players and the staff are doing whatever they could but results are not always as expected.
