Top business leaders from Dalian, China invited Indian IT and BPO companies to seek business opportunities in the coastal city.
"India is famous for the IT and BPO industries and in this way the city of Dalian and India has lot of scope for cooperation in this field. We welcome Indian companies to seek business opportunities in Dalian," Huaneng Huabei general manager Wang Lijun told ANI.
"Dalian has sound system of policies and we have a very good geographic location in China and Dalian is well prepared for future investment from India," he added.
Meanwhile, Dalian city director Langye Sun said that it is planning to invest in Gujarat.
"We want to focus on power sectors investments. We are planning to invest in Gujarat," he said.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, currently in Shanghai, met the CEOs of top Chinese firms and invited them to participate in the 'Make in India' initiative.
He is scheduled to depart for Ulan Bator in the evening for the second leg of his three-nation tour.
