Senior Congress leader Rashid Alvi on Wednesday said the first priority is to rescue all those who are still stranded in flood-hit Uttarakhand and the events in the state should not be used to initiate political controversy.
"The first priority today is to rescue those who are stranded and are struggling for their lives. It is very unfortunate that it is being politicised just to gain more votes," Alvi said.

Samajwadi Party (SP) leader, Naresh Agarwal agreed with Alvi and urged the politicians to forget their differences and reckon the rescue operations as the first priority.
