DRI recovers 2750 Gms of smuggled gold

(DRI) has seized gold paste weighing approximately 2750 from two different individuals on Wednesday and Thursday.

"Based on specific intelligence, officers of DRI, Hyderabad, intercepted a passenger who arrived from to on Thursday. On examination, it was found that the passenger was carrying black coloured cloth belt tied around his waist which contained a package containing paste weighing 1850 grams, which on further examination turned out to be having a gold content of 1398.31 grams", officials said.
