The Election Commission (EC) asked the media to stop the practice of paid news.
"The issue of paid news has attracted a lot of attention in the recent years and led to calls for self-regulation," said Election Commissioner H S Brahma, while addressing the media in Mumbai.
He also said that Mumbai as the capital of paid news.
