'Game of Thrones' actress to portray Leni Riefenstahl in Jesse Owens' biopic

'Game of Thrones' actress Carice van Houten has been roped in to portray the role of German director Leni Riefenstahl in the biopic of Jesse Owens, it has been revealed.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the drama will be directed by Stephen Hopkins and the cast includes Stephan James, Jeremy Irons and Jason Sudeikis.

Van Houten gained fame from her role in Paul Verhoeven's 2006 World War II drama 'Black Book' as well as from her role opposite Tom Cruise in 2008's 'Valkyrie'.

The drama is currently being filmed in Berlin.
