Gwen Stefani's divorce inspired her new single 'Used to Love You'

Gwen Stefani has opened up about her divorce from husband Gavin Rossdale and also revealed the how her divorce inspired her to pen her latest 'Used to Love You'.

In a recent interview, the 46-year-old singer reflected back on summer, when she and Rossdale parted ways in August after 13 years of marriage, People magazine reports.

The 'Baby Don't Lie' hit-maker said, "Things went down, I think it was February where my life just, 'Whoa!' It just changed," Before that, I couldn't really write. I wanted to, but my life was just so . I don't even know how to describe it."

On being asked if her divorce caused her 'creative juices' to flow, she said she does not have anything to hide, adding that everybody knows that she was married forever and now she is not.

As per sources, since Stefani divorce from Rossdale, she has penned so far 19 new songs in total.
