India trail New Zealand 1-2 as Bopanna, Myneni loses Davis Cup doubles

The Indian duo of Rohan Bopanna and Saketh Myneni suffered a shocking straight-set defeat from New Zealand pair of Artem Sitak and Marcus Daniell, thus leaving India trail 1-2 against the hosts on day two of the Davis Cup Asia Oceania Group I tie.

The pair lost the crucial doubles rubber 3-6, 6-7(1), 3-6 here on Saturday.

Somdev Devvarman and Yuki Bhambri will now have to win both the singles on Sunday if India are to advance for the World Group play-offs.
