Popular WWE legend Dusty Rhodes has died at the age of 69.
According to the reports, Rhodes died of kidney failure.
The World Wrestling Entertainment confirmed the news through a statement.
It described the three-time NWA Champion as one of the most captivating and charismatic figures in sports entertainment history.
The WWE said it was deeply saddened by the news, reports The Guardian.
Virgil Runnels, whose stage name was 'American Dream' Dusty Rhodes, was one of America's best-known stars inside the ring, famous for his Texan charisma, his loquacious interviews, his in-ring antics - and his feuds with rivals Ric Flair, Superstar Billy Graham and Tully Blanchard.
Kurt Angle, Triple H and Steve Austin were among other wrestlers who shared their condolences on social media.
