Males with big testicles likelier to have unfaithful partners

A new study has revealed that males with big testicles are most likely to have a cheating partner.

According to scientists at the University of Oslo who studied primates, found that differences in testicle size reflected female fidelity, the Daily Star reported.

Assistant Professor Petter Bockman said that bonobos particularly large testicles as they mate in large groups, while gorillas have small testicles and have a smaller number of partners.

Bockman insisted that the less faithful the female, the larger the male's testicles, as the male will only fertilise one female and has no competitors, he only needs sufficient sperm to reach the egg.

He said that if the female mates on the side, then the male must have testicles that are as large as possible.

Bockman added that the size of human testicles, which is one and a half times larger than those of gorillas, can also point out at the possibility of infidelity amongst our species.
