New Zealand cricket team captain Brendon McCullum has said that he is hopeful that they have got one more 'big fairytale finish' for veteran all-rounder Daniel Vettori, who played his last international innings on home soil in Tuesday's semifinal win over South Africa, when they play the World Cup final on March 29.
Vettori was in the middle at Auckland's Eden Park on Tuesday night when New Zealand clinched a spot in Sunday's title decider in Melbourne as they defeated South Africa by four wickets, News.com.au reported.
Vettori, who scored a crucial boundary at the death to help seal the win, has been coy about his future plans but McCullum said that this was potentially his last game on New Zealand soil.
The skipper said that Tuesday night with Vettori out there at the end, that's a memory the all-rounder would never forget. He added that hopefully they have got one more game, one more 'big fairytale finish' for Vettori and then they would have a few beers.
