Congress president Sonia Gandhi has expressed her condolence over a bus mishap in Madhya Pradesh, where at least 28 people have died.
The official twitter account of the Congress party shared the message.
"Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi has expressed shock and sadness at the bus accident in Panna, Madhya Pradesh," it posted.
"Smt.Gandhi extended her condolences to families of the deceased in the horrific tragedy and expressed hope that injured were adequately treated," it added.
The mishap occurred when the bus fell from a culvert and caught fire.
The Madhya Pradesh Government has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the incident.
