Nadal cruises past Pospisil to reach China Open quarters

Third-seed Rafael Nadal defeated Vasek Pospisil of Canada in straight sets to reach the quarterfinals of the China Open on Wednesday.

The Spaniard overcame Pospisil 7-6(7-3), 6-4 in a thrilling second round contest that lasted for about two hours.

Meanwhile, defending champion and world number one Novak Djokovic will face Ze Zhang for the quarterfinal berth.
