New test to gauge reading speed uses passage from 'The War Of The Worlds'

An office supply chain has come up with a test that can determine the reading speed of an individual.
The test, which has been developed by Staples, asks users to read a short passage from HG Wells' The War Of The Worlds and then asks three comprehension questions to see whether they were paying attention, Metro.co.uk reported.
The test then asks the users how they compare to the average American reader, based on how many words they read a minute.
