The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday criticised Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for sidelining JD (U) chief Sharad Yadav ahead of the state assembly polls, saying he has a habit of use and throw.

"Nitish Kumar has a habit of use and throw. He thinks that Lalu Yadav has joined and now he doesn't need Sharad Yadav and that is why all the decisions are being taken by Lalu and Nitish. They are not including Sharad Yadav in the decision-making process," said BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain.

"The inside story is that after meeting Lalu ji, Nitish Kumar has sidelined Sharad Yadav," he added.

Hussain further alleged that Nitish was repeating the old practice which he followed with former union minister George Fernandes.

"The importance that once George Fernandes had, the same importance was given to Sharad Yadav. But the way Nitish treated Fernandes, he is treating Sharad Yadav in the same way today," he added.
