Pak FIA arrests blacklisted American national

A blacklisted American national, Mathew, was arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Saturday at Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Rawalpindi city.

Mathew despite being blacklisted by Pakistani authorities in 2011, succeeded in getting a visa to the country.

Reports suggest that FIA has confirmed the arrest. They, however, refused to share details of the case terming it confidential, reports the Express Tribune.

Mathew was earlier deported from the country reportedly on grounds of alleged spying.
